SBL-8605 Fabric Deepening Agent & Softener – Deeper Blacks & Vivid Dark Shades with Soft, Hydrophilic Hand Feel
SBL‑8605 Hydrophilic Block Deepening & Brightening Silicone Softener
A modified polysiloxane emulsion that makes dark‑dyed fabrics visibly deeper and brighter in color — while delivering soft, smooth, elastic hand‑feel and instant hydrophilicity for next‑to‑skin comfort.
Engineered for mills that dye deep blacks, navies and jewel tones. SBL‑8605 intensifies color depth and brightness on dark fabrics without distorting hue, while giving premium, skin‑friendly hand‑feel in a single bath:
Key Benefits
- Color Deepening — visibly richer, deeper blacks and dark shades; reduces the dye load needed to hit target depth.
- Color Brightening — brings out a clean, vivid tone on saturated colors without shifting shade or hue.
- Soft & Smooth Hand — silky, fluid drape with elastic recovery; premium feel on knit and woven panels.
- Low Yellowing — minimal shade shift on whites, pastels and sensitive recipes; safe for light colors.
- Instant Wicking — droplets absorb in seconds; keeps cotton‑like moisture management for wear comfort.
- Excellent Compatibility — stable emulsion; works alone or compounded with most non‑ionic / weakly cationic auxiliaries.

Application Methods
Pre‑dilute SBL‑8605 with cool water (1 : 4 – 1 : 5) before adding to the working bath. For best deepening effect, apply in the final finishing step after dyeing.
Method A · Continuous Pad‑Dry‑Cure
- Dosage: 10‑30 g/L, dilute in cool water
- Pick‑up: 70‑80%
- Dry & Cure: 110‑130 °C for 30‑60 s
- Ideal for woven dark cotton and polyester/cotton blends on stenter frames.
Method B · Exhaustion / Dip Method
- Dosage: 1‑3% o.w.f.
- Temperature & Time: 30‑40 °C for 15‑30 min
- Liquor ratio: 1 : 8 – 1 : 15
- Drain bath and dry after treatment. Excellent for knit cotton, wool and dark yarn finishing.
Compatibility Note
- Compatible with most non‑ionic and weakly cationic auxiliaries.
- Avoid strong anionic agents in the same bath.
- Always run lab trial before production for new chemical combinations.
Suitable Fibers & Blends
Particularly effective on dark‑dyed substrates, where deepening and brightening give the most visible gain. Also performs well on natural and protein fibers such as wool:
- Wool — premium knit
- Nylon — universal
- Polyester — universal
- Cotton — universal
- Wool / Nylon — blended knit
- Wool / Polyester — suiting
- Cotton / Nylon — blended knit
- Cotton / Polyester — blended woven
Safety & Compliance
Health notice (GHS classification):
- Skin corrosion / irritation — Category 2
- Serious eye damage / irritation — Category 1
- Signal word: Warning · GHS07
- Harmful if swallowed; harmful if inhaled
- May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways
- 8‑h TWA exposure limit: 5 mg/m³ (oil mist)
Transport & environmental:
- Not classified as dangerous goods for transport — non‑regulated, not a marine pollutant
- Stable under normal conditions; avoid strong oxidizers (peroxides, chlorine)
- Keep container tightly closed, away from heat, sparks & ignition sources
- Suitable extinguishing media: CO₂, dry powder, foam, water mist
Handling: causes skin and eye irritation — wear nitrile gloves, safety goggles and protective clothing when handling the concentrate. Full details refer to MSDS document.
