Reactive Polymer Binder & Fixing Agent for the Syber-NMK Antibacterial System
A reactive polymer aqueous dispersion engineered as the companion product to Syber-NMK: it disperses the NMK molecules more effectively, raises hydrophilicity and fixation, and boosts wash durability — even on substrates carrying anionic residues from auxiliaries, dyes or optical brighteners.
Antibacterial actives work only as well as they stay on the fabric. On real production substrates, anionic residues left over from softeners, dyes or fluorescent whitening agents can interfere with the active and pull fixation and wash durability down. Syber-NTF1 is a reactive polymer dispersion designed specifically to work alongside Syber-NMK: it disperses the NMK molecules more efficiently, improves hydrophilic character, and locks the active onto the fiber for durable performance — and it is optimized for apparel, clothing, sportswear, bedding and mattress ticking.
Key Benefits
- Better Dispersion of the Active — In a padding mix, Syber-NTF1 disperses the Syber-NMK molecules more effectively, giving a more uniform treatment.
- Improved Fixation & Wash Durability — The reactive polymer improves fixation so the antibacterial effect survives repeated laundering.
- Raises Hydrophilicity — Improves the fabric's hydrophilic character as part of the finish, complementing the NMK active.
- Handles Anionic Residues — Designed for substrates that may carry anionic residues from auxiliaries, dyes or optical brighteners.
- Purpose-Matched Companion — Engineered specifically to optimize Syber-NMK on apparel, clothing, sportswear, bedding and mattress ticking.
- Three Application Routes — Runs on conventional technology: padding, spray and exhaust (absorption).

Application Methods
Syber-NTF1 is suitable for natural fibers, synthetic fibers and their blends, and runs on conventional application technology — padding, spray and Lavatec. Add Syber-NMK and Syber-NTF1 as the final stage of the finishing process for best results.
Before you start — general rules
- Make sure all equipment is thoroughly cleaned before fabric processing.
- Stir / mix Syber-NMK and Syber-NTF1 thoroughly before use. Syber-NMK is a natural product and some oil may appear on its surface — it works normally once mixed uniformly.
- The fabric face should be at a neutral to weakly acidic pH, and all residual waxes and / or oils must be removed.
- Syber-NTF1 is compatible with nonionic and cationic products.
Method A · Exhaust (Absorption)
- Ensure all fabric is completely clean
- Adjust the bath to pH 4.5 – 5.5 at 20 – 25 °C
- Pre-dissolve 1.0 – 3.0 % Syber-NTF1 (o.w.f.) in at least 3× its volume of demineralized water, then add 1 % Syber-NMK (o.w.f.)
- Add any other required cationic or nonionic products under vigorous stirring
- Slowly add the NMK / NTF1 dilution; after all is added, stir for a further 5 minutes. Check bath pH periodically and adjust as needed to hold it at about 4.5 – 5.5
- Raise temperature to 40 °C and stir for a further 15 minutes
- Treat for 5 minutes
- Exhaustion can be verified with a simple BPB test
- Drain, dewater, then dry from 40 °C up to a maximum of 150 °C (recommended: 130 °C)
Method B · Padding
- Confirm all equipment is rinsed with water to remove residual salts or ionic residues that could precipitate with the active ingredients
- Set the bath to pH 4.5 – 5.5
- Recommended dosage at 100 % wet pickup: 10 g/L Syber-NMK and 10 – 30 g/L Syber-NTF1
- Pre-dissolve Syber-NTF1 in dilution water before adding Syber-NMK. Any other cationic or anionic products must be added under continuous, vigorous stirring
- Recommended: add 0.5 – 1.0 g/L of a nonionic wetting agent (e.g. a Fullwet-type product)
- Add the NMK / NTF1 to the mixing tank and make up to the required liquor volume with water
- No special baking / curing conditions are required
- Dry at a minimum of 100 °C up to a maximum of 150 °C (recommended: 130 °C)
- Any residual pad liquor containing the solution should be neutralized with an anionic solution before discharge to drain
Method C · Lavatec Spray (Hosiery)
- Clean the Lavatec equipment thoroughly. Do not overload the machine with socks, or the spray nozzles will be covered by the goods — the socks must sit below the spray nozzles when loaded. Overloading degrades the treatment result
- Weigh the sock bags to be treated and load them into the Lavatec machine
- To achieve sufficient and uniform treatment, spray at least 20 % of the sock weight in prepared solution
- *Example:* to add 1 % Syber-NMK + 2 % Syber-NTF1 to 30 kg of socks, spray 6 litres (0.3 kg Syber-NMK + 0.6 kg Syber-NTF1 + 5.1 L water). Note: never mix the neat products directly.
- To aid penetration, increase the finishing liquor to 30 % of sock weight. *Example:* 30 kg of socks require 9 litres of finishing liquor (0.3 kg Syber-NMK + 0.6 kg Syber-NTF1 + 8.1 L water)
- Keep the prepared liquor under continuous stirring. If continuous stirring is not possible, stir the liquor thoroughly before treating each batch of socks
Suitable Fibers & Applications
