PEE Bastion · Solid Hydrophilic Polyester Finishing Block for Wicking & Easy‑Care Synthetics

Non‑ionic light‑brown solid block (≥98 % active), delivers permanent Wash Grade 4 hydrophilic finish for polyester, nylon, acetate & spandex fabrics.

PEE Bastion is a solid high‑active hydrophilic polyester finishing agent. It provides wicking, anti‑static and soil‑release performance for synthetic textiles, and also has the function of dispersing dye oligomers, easy to emulsify for textile finishing production.

Key Benefits

  • Permanent Hydrophilic Finish — Wash Grade 4 — Hydrophilic polyester grafted onto synthetic fiber's water‑repellent layer delivers durable wash‑fast performance, rating up to Grade 4.
  • Superior Wicking & Moisture Management — Imparts excellent hydrophilic / wicking properties to polyester and blends, replaces sticky uncomfortable feel of pure synthetics with natural‑fiber comfort.
  • Built‑In Anti‑Static Performance — Eliminates static cling on synthetic fabrics, no separate anti‑static auxiliaries required in finishing bath.
  • Soil Release & Easy Care — Excellent anti‑soiling and soil‑release properties; stains lift off easily during home laundering to extend garment service life.
  • Disperses Dye Oligomers — Disperses and dissolves oligomers released from polyester under high‑temperature high‑pressure dyeing, improves color yield and brightness.
  • Prevents Crease & Pinhole Defects — Avoids crease marks / “chicken‑paw” impressions caused by long‑time pressure in overflow dyeing machines and protects fabric against pinhole damage.

Application Methods

PEE Bastion is solid 100 % active block. Emulsify first (Method A), then dose emulsion by exhaust or pad (Method B / C).

Method A · Emulsification — Convert Blocks to Stable Emulsion

  • Add water to emulsification tank, start agitation at 80 r/min
  • Heat water to 70‑80 °C
  • Add PEE Bastion blocks at calculated weight ratio
  • Hold at 70 °C for 1‑1.5 h with continuous stirring until homogeneous
  • Cool to 40 °C, filter and discharge — emulsion ready for dosing

Method B · Wicking Finish — Moisture Management on Synthetics

  • Exhaust: 2‑6 % o.w.f. (based on emulsion)
  • Pad: 30‑60 g/L, two‑dip‑two‑nip
  • Substrate: Polyester, nylon, polyester‑blend knit or woven fabrics

Method C · Multi‑Function — Anti‑Static & Soil Release

  • Anti‑static: 2‑4 % o.w.f. or 20‑40 g/L pad
  • Soil release: 2‑5 % o.w.f. or 20‑50 g/L pad
  • Note: Use same emulsified bath; no separate additive required.

Application tip: Emulsify first then dilute to working concentration (typically 10‑20 % active). Emulsion keeps stable at 40 °C for direct metering into finishing bath. Always run lab trial before bulk production.

Suitable Fibers & Substrates

PEE Bastion is optimized for synthetic and blended textile substrates:

  • Polyester, Polyester Blends
  • Nylon (PA), Acetate, Spandex (PU)

Safety, Compliance & Storage

  • Solid block form, low‑dust generation under room temperature
  • Avoid eye contact; wear protective gloves during emulsification work
  • Operate in well‑ventilated space; emulsification process requires heating to 70‑80 °C
  • Wear chemical‑resistant gloves, safety goggles and lab coat when handling heated bath liquid
  • Store sealed at room temperature; keep away from direct sunlight and moisture
  • Shelf‑life: 12 months from manufacture date for unopened original package
  • Keep bags tightly closed after partial use to prevent moisture absorption
  • Transport classification, please refer to latest SDS provided by supplier.

Packaging & Shelf‑Life

  • 25 kg kraft paper bag with inner woven PE liner (standard package)
