NYP-100 Nylon-Specific Hydrophilic & Antistatic Finishing Agent

Turn hydrophobic nylon into a moisture-wicking, static-free fabric — with as little as 0.2% dosage and zero compatibility conflicts.

NYP-100 is a 100% active, non-ionic hydrophilic finishing agent engineered for nylon and polyamide fabrics. It transforms the naturally water-repellent, static-prone surface of nylon into a comfortable, skin-friendly textile that wicks moisture away instantly:

  • Powerful wetting — lowers bath surface tension to 28.6 mN/m at 0.1%; penetrates nylon in 12 seconds at 45 °C for instant, uniform finish.
  • Extreme low-temperature fluidity — pour point −13 °C. Pumps and pours cleanly in cold warehouses — no heaters, no winter downtime.
  • Zero-conflict compatibility — non-ionic structure mixes with anionic, cationic and non-ionic additives. No precipitation, no exclusion effects.
  • Built-in antistatic — eliminates nylon static during wear, cutting and stenter finishing; keeps fabric bright and dust-free.
  • Global inventory listed — all components registered on AICS, IECSC, EINECS, KECL, PICCS, TSCA, DSL and HSNO. Export-ready.

Compatible with

  • Nylon / polyamide woven & knit
  • Nylon / spandex blends
  • Nylon / cotton blends
  • Anionic, cationic & non-ionic auxiliaries
  • Acid, neutral & mild alkaline baths

How to Apply

  • Dye-bath addition: add NYP-100 at 0.2 – 0.5% o.w.f. directly into the dye bath after dyestuff has exhausted; run 15 – 20 min at process temperature. Compatible with most acid and disperse dye systems on nylon.
  • Stenter / padding application: pad at 0.2 – 0.5% with 60 – 80% pickup on the stenter or padder, then dry and cure per your normal setting — consistent finish across full fabric width.
  • Always follow the technical datasheet and run a lab trial before bulk production for new combinations.

Compliance & Safety

All components are listed on major chemical inventories — export-ready worldwide:

AICS (Australia) · IECSC (China) · EINECS (EU) · KECL (Korea) · PICCS (Philippines) · TSCA (USA) · DSL (Canada) · HSNO (New Zealand)

Not classified as dangerous goods under IMDG or IATA — standard road, sea and air freight accepted. Biodegradable in soil; no bioaccumulation potential.

Handling: causes skin and serious eye irritation — wear chemical splash goggles and chemical-resistant gloves; use local exhaust ventilation during spray use. Full details in the MSDS.
