C6-Based Three-Proof Finishing Agent for Cotton, Synthetics & Blends

Sale price$0.00

A weak-cationic, C6 fluorochemical finishing agent that delivers durable water, oil and stain repellency on cotton, synthetic fibers and their blends — superior wash durability, non-hazardous, and PFOA-free (below detection limit).

Water-, oil- and stain-repellent finishes on cellulose-rich fabrics are notoriously hard to make last: cotton swells in the wash, and conventional repellents wash out after only a few cycles. SYBER-2175 is built on a six-carbon (C6) alkyl fluorochemical platform engineered specifically for cellulosic fibers, polyester and their blends — it anchors to the fiber surface for excellent wash durability, and it is PFOA-free for environmentally conscious production.

Key Benefits

  • Built for Cellulose & Blends — Designed for cellulosic fibers (cotton), polyester and their blends — the substrates that most repellent finishes struggle to protect durably.
  • Superior Wash Durability — Excellent resistance to repeated home laundering; the repellent effect holds far beyond a one-shot surface treatment.
  • C6 Alkyl Fluorochemical Platform — Based on short-chain six-carbon alkyl fluorochemistry, in line with current restricted-substance trends.
  • PFOA-Free & Environmentally Sound — Contains no PFOA (below the detection limit); a safer, environmentally responsible choice.
  • Tunable Dosage by Substrate — Clear dosage windows for wool, polyester / cotton and 100% cotton, so you can dial in cost versus performance precisely.
  • Weak-Cationic, Water-Miscible — Readily soluble in water and compatible with standard pad (dip–nip) and stenter lines.

Application Methods

SYBER-2175 runs on a standard padding (dip–nip) route with a stenter cure. Dosage depends on the fabric type, construction, cleanliness, pH, fiber-shedding rate and the target repellency / wash-durability level required by the customer.

Step 1 · Dosage — Select by Substrate

  • Wool fabric: 30 – 80 g/L
  • Polyester / cotton fabric: 10 – 50 g/L
  • 100% cotton fabric: 20 – 80 g/L

Step 2 · Process Conditions

  • Padding: one dip, one nip
  • Pre-dry: 110 – 130 °C
  • Cure (setting): on a stenter setting machine, cure at 150 – 180 °C (fabric surface temperature) for 120 sec — recommended

Dosage varies with fabric type, structure, cleanliness, pH, fiber-shedding and the required protection / wash-durability. Confirm the recipe on a lab trial before bulk production.

Usage Precautions

  • Before combining with other auxiliaries, always run a preliminary compatibility test to fully confirm compatibility. Stir slowly when preparing the treatment bath to avoid generating excessive foam.
  • Fluorochemical repellents can cause a darkening / shade shift — confirm the color change on the finished fabric in advance.
  • Curing must be thorough — otherwise the optimum protective performance will not develop. Run a preliminary test according to your machine conditions. Use up the prepared treatment bath within 12 hours; if left standing longer, verify before use.

Suitable Fibers & Substrates

SYBER-2175 is designed for water, oil and stain repellent finishing on cellulose-rich and synthetic substrates:

  • Cellulosic fibers — cotton and regenerated cellulose
  • Polyester (PET)
  • Wool
  • Blends of cellulosic and synthetic fibers — polyester / cotton, etc.
  • Woven and knit apparel, workwear, outdoor and functional textiles

Verify compatibility with your specific substrate and dye system before bulk production.

Safety, Compliance & Storage

  • PFOA-free (below detection limit) — environmentally responsible C6 platform
  • Wear gloves and eye / face protection; avoid contact with skin and eyes
  • Do not swallow — observe general chemical hygiene and safety rules for storage, transport and handling
  • Storage: keep at room temperature — sensitive to above 40 °C and below 0 °C
  • Shelf life: 6 months at room temperature
  • For detailed handling, toxicological and ecological data, refer to the product Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
